Jap Fab \\ Hello, Shibuya Tokyo Fashion & Culture Pop-Up

With Singaporeans being some of the biggest Japanophiles there are, it never fails when it comes to Japanese-anything; especially the country’s exquisite sense of aesthetic. And if you’re a J-culture head, you’ll be stoked about the upcoming Hello, Shibuya Tokyo Fashion & Culture Pop-up shopping event, happening between Feb 22 and Mar 10 at Plaza Singapura.

Straight off the streets of Tokyo, labels like Anrealage, G.V.G.V., Mintdesigns, Jun Okamoto, Keita Maruyama and Matohu, will be bringing you a dose of Shibuya cool, spread over 20 stores, plus fringe activities like runway shows, and art exhibitions featuring Tokyo artists Mayumi Yamase, Midori Kawano, and Al Madonna, plus our very own super graf girl Sheryo, MessyMsxi, Izziyana Suhaimi and my talented friend, Aiwei Foo.

Cool collaborations also await, like apparel by Anrealage x Phunk Studio (famed local design collective), Jun Okamoto x Asylum (famed local creative agency), and Mintdesigns x Blackmarket (our favourite underground retail store), as well as nail wraps by Vlli Vlli x Hello Kitty, and the crazy cute Nissin x Hello Kitty Chilli Crab Instant Noodle Cups (sleeve design by Chris Lee of Asylum).

Priced at $2.50 each, the Nissin x Hello Kitty Chilli Crab Instant Noodle Cups
is a true Jap-Sing collabo.

More swag for the Kitty fans, these Vlli Vlli x Hello Kitty nail wraps
go for $40 a pop (set of 10 stickers).

The Hello, Shibuya Tokyo Fashion & Culture Pop-Up event is free for all and will run daily from 11am to 9.30pm, Feb 22 to Mar 10, at the Main Atrium, Level 1, Plaza Singapura. Follow www.facebook.com/helloshibuyatokyo for more updates or log on to www.helloshibuyatokyo.jp. See you there!
